As someone who does everything possible to save a few bucks here and there, naturally, I clip coupons. Up until recently, I was either passing along the unused ones to friends or merely
throwing them away.
For the past month, however, any coupons I don't need have been mailed to an
APO to be distributed among the men and women serving our country currently.
The troops are able to redeem new and expired (
up to 6 months past expiration) coupons at their commissaries and other places they may shop. Let's be honest....with what they get paid, they can use them just as much as you and I.
While
I don't support the current war efforts that the U.S. is involved in, that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate that people are putting their lives on the line. Until they can come home, I'm going to help the people who are trying to save
asses also save a little
dough.
