Once again, my daughter has gotten me into a band that, under any other circumstances, I should've at least paid SOME attention to, but managed to be completely oblivious about. This time around, it's THE SMITHS.
I mean, when they formed in '82', I was in High School! What the fuck was I doing? Oh, wait...I remember: I was cramming my musical tastes into a little box called "All Music Outside This Box Sucks!". VERY open-minded.
I guess it started with "How Soon Is Now". That song literally hypnotizes me. Don't get me started on the vocals.... If I believed in angels, I'd swear Morrissey had the voice of one.
I don't know how to repay my daughter for exposure to this great band. Ya' think she'd dig the Partridge Family?
