Stick It In Yer Gob!

I spend possibly more time in the kitchen than in any other room in the house. Cooking and watching people enjoy my food is one of the greatest pleasures I get. Since it's such a big part of my life, I thought it might be something I should include in this blog-o-mine.

This morning, my husband asked me to make him some cookies while he was away at work. His faves just happen to be Chocolate Chip/Butterscotch Chip Cookies. Try not to drool on the keyboard too much:

Injun's Choc&Butterscotch Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
6oz butterscotch chips
6oz chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixing bowl until smooth. Add egg. Mix thoroughly. Slowly add the flour/baking soda/salt mixture. When completely combined, add chips. Drop by large teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets and cook for approx. 10 minutes (or to desired doneness). Cool on wire racks.

NOTE: This recipe is for thin cookies. If you like yours a little fluffier, add another egg to the recipe.
